Reformation Church is committed to Expository preaching, as we work verse by verse through books of the Bible. We do so because we believe it to be the most faithful way for a man who Pastors to handle rightly the Word of God.
Reformed
Reformation Church is theologically Reformed. Tracing our roots back to the Early Reformers, and preaching and teaching through this lends. While we are convictional Reformed, we welcome all to Come and See what the Lord is doing through Reformation Church Clarksburg.
Confessional.
Reformation Church is one that shares a historic faith. We proudly embrace historic confessions of faith, that help to guide and inform our proclamation and practice. We recite often on Sunday mornings, the Nicene Creed, along with the Apostles Creed. We also hold general agreement with the Second London 1689 Confession of Faith. We believe being confessional grounds us in historic Christianity, as guard rails to practice the faith.
Self Replicating
Reformation Church believes the most effective means to Kingdom expansion, and fulfilling the Great Commission is through Church Planting. We want to see healthy, biblical, churches planted all throughout these WV hills, and throughout the world. This is why we have committed to partnering with King’s Church in Grafton WV, whom we will send out in January (2027) along with partnership with the SEND Network/SBC. We desire for men and women in the hills and the hollers to know Jesus, and submit to His Lordship in all areas of their life. We believe that is most effectively done, as the Church is on mission, and as Churches raise up qualified men, who will pastor, and go on to plant more healthy, and biblical churches.
Classical Christian Education
Built into the very DNA of Reformation Church, is a long history and conviction of the need to religiously teach our children. Reformation Church supports the Classical Christian Education movement within the West, with the conviction that this is one of the most effective means to educating our children. While we are convinced of this great ministry, we recognize that Classical Christian Schools do not replace the God given authority of Parents, who are to raise their own children in the fear and admonition of the Lord. We also recognize the explicit distinction between church and school. Our ministry of Emmanuel Christian School is not a church, nor should it be considered an adequate replacement for the need of the believer to be involved in the life of a local church. God means to bring about the accomplishment of His mission, through the expansion of the Church, by the proclamation of the Gospel. Those who come to believe in the Lord Jesus, are then to be plugged into local bodies, with qualified men who pastor them, under their authority, and alongside older and younger brothers and sisters in the faith.

Reformation Church is convinced that the life of the church is to be lived outside of merely a Sunday morning. We live in a time where our lives are consumed by a slew of different things. Christians must set apart time, to be intentional on fulfilling the One another's, Older men and women discipling younger men and women, and going out to make disciples. Because of this, we have intentionally set apart time to grow together in Christ’s likeness, and to replicate what was modeled for us in the book of Acts, chapter 2. Our small group ministries exist for this reason.
